Company
One of the leading electromechanical factories.
Challenge
Employees at the factory must write off parts and materials from warehouses in a timely and error-free manner and enter the information into the accounting system for further processing by the purchasing department. Before automation this work was performed only in the first shift from 8.00 to 17.00, although tasks for order picking were created by shop foremen in the second and even in the third working shift.
Task
Round-the-clock processing of tasks for distribution of materials to production orders and elimination of "human factor" errors.
Solution
Implementation of the PIX robot as part of the automation of the process of material allocation to production orders:
- Stage 1: Automation of the nomenclature composition for the picking list according to the number of items in each order from the route list.
- Stage 2: Automation of nomenclature reservation in warehouses for each picking list, with subsequent release of reserved lots and creation of in-plant delivery notes.
- Stage 3: The robot selects and reserves analogs in the company's warehouses, after which it records information about the replacement in the accounting system. The robot creates a daily report showing the status of each task.
Results
Application of automation allowed the factory to process documents 24 hours a day. In a day, PIX robot can process more than 100 documents for order picking of 50 items using only one license. This is at least twice as productive as the routine labor previously performed by humans. The robotic process is fully transparent and standardized, and the robot performs its operations in a timely and error-free manner.
Advantage of the robot
The robot creates an average of 95% of the picking lists for the shop floor per month, with an average of 1,000 to 1,200 picking lists per month.
